not really quiz question but can any one help.
my sons homework is to explain how we can lead greener lives.
i can think of the obvious about recycling but can anyone think of anything different.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.How about remembering to switch lights off, not leave electrical srtuff on stand by at night, composting tea bags and vegetable material, re-using plastic bags, going to aand giving to charity shops and car boot sales. Making cards from old cards - re-using wrapping paper. Showers not baths; turn heating down by a few degrees. Double glazing. Using bath water for the garden. Saving rain water for plants. The lsit goes on. Hope this is of help.
Join Freecycle -although you have finished with an item someone else might give it a home and avoid landfill. (google freecycle to find your closest one)
Don't leave tap running when you brush your teeth - you use a lot of water (most likely hot) for the two minutes you are supposed to brush for.
Grow your own veggies
Our local school has built a greenhouse from 2 litre plastic bottles. All donated by parents and villagers so the bottles are not tipped and then are a "green" greenhouse.
Buy and cook the food you need then you save on food miles and are not throwing away what you didn't need in the first place! about 30% of food is discarded!!!!!!!
