Also 27d must be IBSEN, but don't know why.

No, I had BASSO PROFUNDO for 35a, I think it is correct.
Right out of money is brass without the R, nest egg is presumably fund.

2d is a soundalike. The god is Pan and agnosticism is doubt. Pan doubt- panned out
4a is T(source of treasure) and Rover-r.

If you didn't get why 27d is IBSEN, there was a children's author called Edith Nesbit.
