Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

"Points at and there are shots" (5)
I have T - R - S. All I can think of is TERMS or TURNS, neither of which seem logical. Any reasoning for one of these? I'm sure about the R and S but not about the T which comes from "Not at the sea-front!" (6) for which I have ASTERN. (A - - - R -)

turns looks fine to me -- it's doubly defined in the clue. Turn can mean either to point at or a shot. I also agree with astern.

Ok, TURNS it will be!. Though I think "points at" for "turns" isn't quite kosher. That was the final clue. This crossword has been running for years, yet there are only five different grids (19x19). It amazes me that it can go on like this. I found out by chance that the same crossword also appears in The Deccan Herald (Bangalore), with a cryptic and an "easy" set of clues, which have different answers. The setter must be a genius!

No, not really. The letters given are correct. Maybe in the Bangalore version!
