MM Links Solutions December 2007 [Week 2]

This second week of the reign of Queen Kay the Not-so Petrified appeared to begin in complete chaos, but everything was under control with Plan B ready to swing into action. Truth to tell, Kay and I are very close to having Plan A working! As for this week's words, I can now reveal that Kay's chosen Link Words were:

Slow COACH
Good MANNERS
Snow FLAKE
Small CHANGE

This proved an excellent week with lots of bonus points up for grabs!

Again, in an early flurry of activity, the first half dozen or so emerging from the Shrubbery went of a feeding frenzy with three of the chosen link words being spotted by the first three entrants. First came patchett as Entrant #1 to spot SNOW FLAKE, then Christiana (as Entrant #2) to claim SLOW COACH and finally lysander with SMALL CHANGE all to pick up bonus points.

In fact lysander led in a trio of �double hitters� since he also echoed SLOW COACH for FOUR POINTS. By chance, both paulineward & Grenmus repeated these same two hits within the time limit and qualify for the same FOUR POINTS. Just outside the time limit came LaneyB with two hits that scored only the bare two points (Pity!). This was timed at 09.05 ~ and was too late!?

There was a steady trickle of scoring throughout the day and I must pick out the performance of the Hewats. They entered their options at 14.23 and between the two of them spotted THREE of the FOUR chosen links! �Well done� you two!

It was well into the evening, when BigMac (as Entrant #45) showed that �GOOD MANNERS maketh the man� and get him TWO POINTS. He was near the end of a 50-man field including new-comer bryand ~ �Welcome� and you scored One Point!

With three entrants scoring 4 points this week, I look for some additional feature that picks one of these out for special credit. Only one of these scored last week and that was paulineward making her �HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK�.

This has been a very lucrative second game from Queen Kay; who will do much better next week, I�m sure. Unfortunately, I won�t be here to see it, as I have business to attend to. However, I shall lend my well-oiled abacus to my good friend gen2, who has agreed to guard the shrubbery in my absence!

Jan..I will have to sort something. We are staying in a hotel with my brother and his wife.
Do you remember it was their silver wedding in July, and we paid for them to spend the weekend in Grassington for the Dickensian Festival...and we are going with them.

Wow! well done Pauline, it must have been the bus ride from the shrubbery and ride on the big dipper that spurred you on this week !!

As usual my cunning plans failed and I finished up pointless, as befitting a founder member of the Freefall Club ... pleased to see that co-founder Ont -ice also kept up the good work and failed to score!!

Thanks for proving that I'll never be able read a woman's mind Kay, and thanks to the mighty Krophta for another week of mayhem! (S) ☺
