There is an example in the preamble that divides the clue into three parts, one for each word in the answer. You have to do the same with with each of the 40 clues given.
For example, look at the first clue:
Towards the end of the week I fancied a walk in London.
That divides up as:
Towards the end of the week / I fancied / a walk in London.
So: 'Towards the end of the week' = - - - d a y (Monday, Friday or Sunday)
and: 'I fancied ' = - - - g i n - - (could that be a figment of my imagination?)
and finally: 'a walk in London' = - - - d c a - - ( would that be somewhere near St. James� Park and part of the London Marathon route?
Solving the theme and getting the pattern of answers will help you with the initial letter of each answer.
