Hi, I need some help with this riddle please. It doesn't make sense to me.....

A woman is wrapping Christmas presents and has to cut a roll of ribbon into one metre lengths. If it takes her 2 seconds to measure and cut one length how long will it take her to do the whole roll?

Length of ribbon, in metres - 1, with the result multiplied by two.

(x-1)*2 seconds is the mathematical formula where x is the length of the roll of ribbon.
If the question really doesn't give the length of the full roll, surely this is impossible to answer?
