Hi esmerelda3, posting an email address IS allowed now on this site but it is considered somewhat risky as it may attract unwanted attention. It is particularly so as you have placed it in a question. You might have been better posting it as an answer in whatever thread biggus 56 was replying to, where it would be seen by fewer people whom it wasn't aimed at.

thanks for your thoughtful reply. I can see the logic in what you say. Sorry it is too late or me to be guided by that advice. I was trying to set up a meeting of people to help with solving cryptic crosswords. I find it quite hard going on my own. A.B.ers are very helpful with answers and explanations but sometimes all I really want is a gentle push in the right direction or to be told such things as book can mean OT or Nt etc. I know I can read it up in books but there is a lot to take in. So that is my tale of woe!!! Happy New Year and a big thank you E
