OK , this is an absolute stinker of a quiz, I do it every year and only ever manage about half the questions and I don't believe anyone has ever answered all of them. How about an answerbank team? There's no prize just the kudos of getting the highest score.
Leave your answers here and I'll send them all in

Maybe I am an old cynic but the poser of the question has yet to post an answer on this thread ! ....and there is an albeit modest prize, which contradicts the initial posting. I think I shall keep the rest of my answers to myself.

No I'm genuine rmleake I'm really not after the prize (which I believe really is modest like a box of chocs), I just posted the question and then genuinely haven't had time to sit down and do the research needed to complete (?) the quiz , so if you want to send in the entry please do, good luck.
I normally get the quiz before Christmas and the whole family has a go but didn't get it this year until too late, most of the ones I know the answers too have been answered here already and I've struggled with the rest. Sorry
Question Author
Oh and in the past there wasn't a prize.
Haven't had a chance to do any more yet, but would appreciate being put out of misery on some of the link ones, eg 3(d), 5, 10, 12 and possibly 13. Not fussed about prizes!
Hi Gandolf 34 - can only help with Q13 . They are all common sayings eg (a) T?DMAR = two wrongs don't make a right. Haven't managed to crack 5,10,or 12 myself. Would love a start on 5! Was it you who got 6? What is the explanation for that? I'm not worried about prizes either , just thought a couple of us were doing all the work! Fun quiz isn't it?

16 they are all company logos but I've only got a) Acura d) Cadillac f) Ferrari. I recognise several of the others but can't get the company's, driving me nuts.

By the way - occasionally there is a question which specifically relates to Warick School so you may not get it - I'm wondering if Question 12 is one such question.
No q12 does not relate to Warwick School, so if one does it can only be q5 or q10.
Sorry rmleake, not responsible for the answer to 6 and can't work it out, especially as the second word looks like having 10 letters, when there are only 9 in Christmas.

MERRY XMAS EVERYBODY (Slade) It was possible to get the answer by realising that it must contain 18 letters (9 prefixes X 2 letters) = 18 and it couldnt contain any letter Is as they dont appear in UK registrations. There are only 3 UK Christmas No 1s that have 18 letters Merry Xmas Everybody is the only one of the three that contains no letter Is. Most people described the longer method perfectly.
