Could anyone direct me to a good site to find authors names and books, have tried quite a few but still quite a few answers

Depends what sort of books....fiction ?
This is a good site ..but you need to have an idea of the author first or least an initial if this is for a quiz .You might need to trudge through it but it may get you a result .
