I don't have the quiz, but if it's any help, "Hot Love" by T-Rex spent 6 weeks at No 1 - more than any other record that year...(?)

Well the UK record of the year began in the 90s I believe. But the record of the year in USA in 1971 was Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel.
