I think the answer to number 6 may be the Earl of Rosebery (1894-1895). I found this list of PMs and the Earl of Rosebery seems to be the last Earl on the list

The Rosebery earldom was created 10 April 1703, I think the man you're looking for is Disraeli who became the first Earl of Beaconsfield.

Rosebery was already an Earl when he became PM.

The last PM to have become an Early after he left office was indeed Macmillan - created Earl of stockton.

I think the problem is in the ambiguity of the question. Are they asking for whom was created Earl whilst in office or sometime later?
Rosebery, who was if I remember correctly was the 4th Earl, after having won the Derby twice, had been prime minister and married a Rothschild, received a telegram that read "Only heaven left"!
