Book Quiz

Did anyone enter the Wheelock Scouts Book Quiz? I have just had my question sheet back and find that one question was marked wrong.
The question was WW by JH. Answer - The Wolverhampton Wanderer.by Michael Horowitz I knew that but as they only put WW I left off the T in case I was marked down, which I was but they didn't ask for it!!!
Has any one else had this problem please?

Mine had a paper in with my answers explaining.
It was WW ;-Wheres Wally by Martin Handford.

As the setter of this quiz I did explain in the paper returned with each sheet[ apologies if you did not receive this but I was sure I had put one in each envelope] that had the answer been The Wolverhampton Wanderer then the question would have said TWW not simply WW . Wheres Wally was the only answer which fitted the criteria of WW. You will notice that where a book had a title The then T was put at the beginning of the question.Hope that this explains .

It would have nice had you also included the name of the
winner, so many quizzes are now returned with no
indication, a Mr / Mrs Bloggs of Here or There would do.

Clearly there is something amiss here. I'm sorry if you did not find a piece of paper in your envelope [ it was a small sheet so it could have been overlooked] but each entry which enclosed an addressed envelope had the following :
Thank you for entering our quiz. We are delighted to say that �108 was raised so thank you for your support. Only 3 people managed to get all the answers absolutely correct including spelling all the authors names correctly and the winner drawn at random is D Douglas of Bower Caithness. Congratulations. ..................................

Alternative answers were acceptable as long as they were completely accurate. Without doubt the most common mistake was q57. WW by MH was in fact Wheres Wally by Martin Handford not I'm afraid THE Wolverhampton Wanderer as many of you would have liked!! Other alternative answers were discounted on the same basis because where applicable 'The' was indicated in the question. Hope you all enjoyed it!

I received my answers back today - two wrong because I had not taken into account the titles had THE in them. But I would like to point out that the book by James Joyce which was given as the correct answer (although an alternative The Dead was acceptable) is not THE Dubliners, just Dubliners, so mistakes were made on both sides!! However, it was a very interesting and enjoyable quiz so many thanks Jodder.
