Thanks boleynground - We must have solved 31a at the same time, which proves I had the wrong answer in 21d. Can you help with that, as I am running really late today!!
Hi, I guess you had same as me, GUNNELL. However I think the answer is gunwale, which has the alternative speeling of gunnell, and is on the upper part of a ship. Damn clever these Chinese!regards John.
THe answer is GUNWALE, because the clue is saying it sounds like (Sally) Gunnell.
