MM Links February [Week 1]
66 Answers
Below is King fordward's introduction to the first MM Links Game of February.
Good morning all, I would like to start by thanking gen2 for all his assistance and doing the posting due to my work commitments, it just happens to be a bad month for me, what with the weather etc., anyway enough of that, a wee bit about me, so you know who you are dealing with, or not --! whichever the case may be. I'm not a man for making speeches, as one lady in Australia said when I was over on holiday "He's a man of few words" which is about the only thing she got right, but that's another story (it was a good holiday).
I'm just an ordinary country chap, spent my youth down on the farm doing all the things we shouldn't do. Then I joined the Royal Air Force to spread my wings so to speak (I was ground crew), eventually I got married (40 odd years at the last count) and raised a family. Two boys and a girl, the girl is serving in Afghanistan at this moment, and now I'm closing in on retirement ready to do all the things we shouldn't do, again!
Any clues there? On with the show.
By now I'm sure you know the rules, but here they are as a reminder anyway . . .

No best answer has yet been selected by gen2. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Welcomeladyalex, Yes, anyone can play. The rules are simple:
The setter chooses four word pairings.
One word of each pair is revealed on Sat mornings at 9am
Everyone tries to guess the pairings.
The required answers are all between 4 and 8 letters long.
Only the setter and the scorer know the answers.
Marks are allocated and the correct answers and scores are revealed on a fresh thread on Sunday evenings at 7pm.
The winner over each calendar month becomes the setter for the following month.
That's basically it - except that there is usually an informal gathering to discuss 'tactics' in a thread posted around 8pm on Friday evenings. This is known as "The Shrubbery".
