Finished todays quite quickly but now wondering about 19a the Georgian cloth hat. I always thought it was a mob cap but it seems to be referred to equally as a mop cap. Which is right.... Pauline....Sarumite......anyone....Help !!!

Hi GK Fanatic ... I must admit to using mob cap without realising there might be an alternative.

I have now entered mop cap into the One Look search engine and it seems to favour the former ... see here:

Now checked in Chambers, and only Mob Cap is given. (S)
