To amuse themselves during lengthy missions, astronauts often turn on the zero gravity and play darts. Buzz Aldrin holds the record score of 100. What's the minimum amount of darts he needed to throw to reach that score on the board shown to the left?
dartboard 4 circles starting from the outside 1st circle 18
2nd circle 17 3rd circle 39 and 4th circle 40

I cannot find any combination of those 4 numbers that will add up to exactly 100. Are the facts given correct.
Using 39 or 40 you cannot make 61 or 60 , 6x17 =102, 40+40+18 =98.

will you look up www.berocca.ie and it is the third question for monday i can't copy the dart board to show you the exact numbers
If you look closely, the outer circle is worth 16 points on that website. Your post above said it was 18 points. No wonder it was impossible.
So the answer is 6 darts
2 x 16 + 4 x 17
= 32 + 68
= 100
