Does it count as a valid if you make a correction to a wrong answer or would your entire Xword entry automatically disqualified as a result ?

From what I have read on this site, it seems that some x-word competitions will accept corrected grids - even including white-out or typex - and some even accept photocopies, though not the Mail, I think.
One contributor copies the grids and completes them in pencil before entering the solutions in pen on the real thing....
As long as any alterations are clear, you shoud be OK.
If in any doubt, ring the paper concerned.
