please could anyone help!
What was the name of the cyclops killed by odysseus and his men?
I can only find Polyphemus but it says he was blinded not killed. Help!

yes it was Polyphemus and you are right we was blinded for Odysseus and his men to escape the cyclops cave not killed so whoever set the quiz has got it wrong

I've seen the quiz -- but only fleetingly --- and know the compiler. He can be extremely mischievous and I wouldn't be surprised if this was a question ( one of several ) designed to trip up the unwary. Next time I see him I'll ask him about it --- but he did Homer's "Odyssey" as a Mastermind specialist subject and he's likely to have put "killed" deliberately!!! I've always said that he is a quiz sadist.......something he proved yet again on Saturday evening to several teams' chagrin.
