If you take it that the word is put down in one turn, then the eighth letter you need to make scrabble must already be on the board, so your score would depend on how the word scrabble touches the existing word(s).
I would take it that the answer is 14 - or the setter wants you to add the 50 point bonus and has made the mistake of giving an eight letter word.
