This is driving me mad.It is one of the brain training questions.

6 ? 3 ?8 ? 4 = 35

you need to find the symbols.

The answer they give is

6 -3 +8 x 4 =35

but i just don't see how it works as i keep getting 44!

help anyone!!

Could it be
(6-3) + (8 x 4) ?
Use the X first. 8x4=32
32+6-3=35
I think they're wrong..............it should have brackets in the equation.......

(6-3)+8x4=35
Brackets worked out first....then mult. then the rest :o)
Brackets unnecessary here.
Remember BODMAS from your school days!

Division and Multiplication take preference over Addition and Subtraction
BODMAS has now been modernised as BEDMAS -- brackets, exponentiation, division, multiplication, addition, subtraction. I agree there is no need for brackets.

I think you have to separate the sums ie.

6 - 3 = 3
8x4 = 32

3 + 32 = 35
