Question Author
Hi Hocus pocus, What would DEAL have to do with wood? Could see it as a useful bargain, but not the wood. Inter a simnel. I also thought of Bury, but where does simnel come in. They did make simnel cakes in Bury and Shrewsbury. Might be either but why. Similarly Tom Braider. Why St Edmunds? Can't see a connection apart from churches there serving simnel cake at Easter time, but doesn't that happen in churches all over the country. Be interested in your thoughts. Many thanks to Mime07 for the answers
Deal is a type of wood.
I can't get the simnel connection either, I've tried simnel cakes and Lambert Simnel, but nithing yet!
