In the puzzle special of today's paper. The theme seems to be varieties of apples. So far have got 1. Golden Delicious 2.Cox's Pippins 3.? 4. Braeburn 5. Granny Smith 6. ? Anyone know 3 and 5?
Possibly, but I think the king looks more like a queen!
Had been thinking along the lines of it being two -worded answer, with the second being possibly Coronation/Royal/Regal/Queen/Monarch
Thank you "canyouhelp?" I thought it was Pink Lady, but could not work out how the Hollywood made up "lay". However, we have now realised it means L.A.. We think 6 is right. However, what syllable is the man with the painted face supposed to be? US? How?
No 6 is definitely not right. All the answers are specific names of apples so just putting 'cooking' doesn't fit with the rest. The pictures show far eastern chefs at work and then a group of royalty from the early years. Stumped on this one!
Tempted to go with Cooking.
Whilst I appreciate it's not a named variety
like the rest, the picture depicting it is joined,
which suggests a one word answer. Note the
breaks between eg Golden, then Delicious.
In Braeburn, the two pictures are joined
