Is there an error in 25 down (Has ink blended for cursive script - 6 letters)? I thought the answer was Naskhi (given in Chambers as a variant for Neskhi and Neski), but I can only get 33 ac and 35 ac to work if I reverse the k and h in Naskhi and put Nashki instead.

I have exactly the same problem, so I'm assuming that Azed has made a slip.

Chambers gives 'nashki' - under 'neskhi' - for Arabic script, which fits just fine with 'harim' 33A and 'kisan' 35A. Seems fine...or am I missing something?

Thanks both. I have the 2003 and 2006 editions of Chambers and neither gives Nashki. The only variants given under Neskhi are Neski or Naskhi. However, it looks as if we are all agreed that 33A is harim and 35A is kisan. Now to work on the competition clue!

You're absolutely right, Mahonia. I must simply have misread it or else just fitted it into the letter-pattern already there. I can't now remember the sequence in which I "solved" the clues. My apologies for my earlier mistaken claim. Clearly I was "missing something"!
