Just wondered if anyone has ever won the �1500 prize on offer, I have been doing this crossword for years and never so much as had a sniff..........

Never won the Mail one though I do it every week, However!!! I did win the Sunday Express �1000 about a year ago. What fun!! Keep doing them. Can't win unless you play!!!

I've been doing this crossword since the year dot and I've never had a win.
There was a lady on here within the last couple of months who announced she'd won the �1500.
I also do the crossword in YOU magazine and I've won �100 once and �25 twice over the years.

I have won the MOS crossword �1,500 three times, last time being a couple of months ago. I do have some help from here. I do not do it for the win, just the challenge of answering (or finding the answers) to questions to keep my OLD mind alert. Of my last win I gave �500 to air ambulance, �500 to children's hospis, and �500 to cancer research.

I had a theory that the organisers pick a different name each week as the winner. I believe that many thousands of entries are made each week, so this would be an easy thing to do.
Rather suspicious of the claim made by the " three times
winner". Would like to see some concrete proof of this statement.

Well I'm glad to hear that there are some winners out there, may be I will keep doing it then - like you say though its good to just do it and not necessarily for the prize, guess that 's the icing on the cake......!
