Thanks. It does feel like an anagram but there doesn't seem to be a single word to be made from a redstart. Any other ideas?

It there a theme to the quiz ? Is it all birds names, or places, I know there's an Archangel city in Russia ?

The theme is flowers. There is a plant called yellow archangel (Lamiastrum galeobdolon) so I'm sure your previous suggestion was spot on. I've only got three questions left in this wretched quiz which was given to me by a friend and which I wish I'd never set eyes on! They are the imperial toast one (as above) plus .... Old Greek hero produced beautiful red and white flowers (8) which I know is going to be so blatantly obvious that I will kick myself! Anita

I said it would be obvious... so obvious in fact that I have one in my garden. I spent so long trying to convince myself it must be Achillea that I couldn't see the wood for the trees (or shrubs in this case). Thanks Spitza. Can't you and SpiderPig get your combined talents working on 73. ...the colour of the body before making imperial toast (8,6). It's driving me mad. Could the 'colour' be standard ie in the military sense?
