Distance for car A = T X 40
Distance car B = (T-5)X 65
40T= 65T-325 T=13

After 13mins travel 8.66KM

I Think!
to confirm
8.6666.... km is the distance traveled

Car A takes 8.666.... / 40 x 60 = 18 mins
Car B takes 8.666... / 65 x 60 = 13 mins
13mins + 5mins = 18 mins.
