What is it with you people on this site? I completed this quiz in six hours by myself and you lot are not going to be happy til the whole world has all the answers. If you can't do it just leave it alone.

I think the whole essence of quizzing has been destroyed. What happened to self-esteem? How can anyone take any credit for completing a quiz when the answers are in the public domain? No wonder the world is in the state it's in.

They are mostly for charity. I pay my money, do the quiz, but never enter . I just enjoy the challenge. Some of the people on this site just have to get all the answers saying they are "desperate" with six weeks left to go. What they really mean is that they are "lazy" and can't be bothered working out simple little primary school cryptic clues.

I have never asked for any help on this site. I consider that cheating. If I don't know something, I work at it til I find the solution. Can't believe how lazy some people are.

I totally agree with you Ivor! I wandered over here from the Chatterbank last week, and I just asked innocently if anybody had heard of Google or a reference book - and blimey you'd have thought I'd said something wrong the reactions i got! - Talk about Flack!

I thought is was what the site is for! To give a little help to people who are not as clever as Ivorbiggun, and have already searched for answers.
I also question what is he doing on this site at all!

I do quizzes for fun and most of the time don't even send them back. It's very frustrating when you have finished all you can and googling still doesn't help. When you are completely stuck, sites like this are invaluable just for your own peace of mind.

If you are so desparate for a bottle of wine or a �10 voucher, we'll gladly have a whip round.

I take it Ivor that you answered all the questions yourself.

You didn't use the internet ot consult a book or ask a friend?

As that would also be wrong.

However as there are people who see this site and quizzes as a "social" thing it may help you to understand "communication" and "frendliness"

Ask a friend, look in a book, check out the internet is still finding out for yourself Dave the dog. Asking for answers on AB spills the answers to the faint hearted and is cheating. Mostly such trivia is asked it doesn't matter one scrap to be told the answers because the odds on winning are minimal, but as Ivorbiggun says it's devastating to find people cheating answers for Quizmail etc when all the answers are possible to be tracked down with a bit of application and it does affect the winnings in a big way.
It isn't only AB. There are loads of other sites where people ask. And there's a forum that someone keeps pushing.

I'm sure no-one would be devasted to find they hadn't won a bottle of plonk from Tesco. The whole point of these quizzes is to raise money for charity.

It's cash prizes. In the days before AB a lot of money could be won by the top entrants in each league. These days so many people have copied the difficult answers from AB that you're lucky to recoup your �14 a month entry fee. Sometimes you've entered at a loss even with full marks.
I wouldn't be devastated not to win a bottle of plonk from Tesco as most of my prizes are cars cash and cruises by completing tie breaker sentencers that are 'all my own work'.
If you don't enter Quizmail etc try it and see how you feel when the answers are posted.

Forgot to say that Quizmail, GFQ and GBQ are NOT for any charity. They are run by the Proprieters as businesses. They provide the winnings from the entry fees and keep the rest themselves.
