I'm still not sure if the answer is peak or peek. Can anyone help ,please?

Noisily look is the cryptic part ie sounds, whereas the subject is mountain ie peak.

If the answer were to be 'peek' then the wording of the question would have had to have been:
Look for mountain noisily.

As a rule, the straight definition in a cryptic clue always comes either at the start, or at the end, not in the middle.
