Misprints? Is the transposition of 3 & 4 down a typo or an integral part of puzzle? Also, 41 across is eight letters though (7) in clue. Again completed most of grid including a couple of unclued for which I have arbitary answers but have not rumbled theme yet. The merest hint of 32across would be most welcome.

Thanks for your reply Tichfield. My first thought was we are writers but ,after a while, as nothing flew off the page, got to thinking we could be graters - grating out answers from the clues or even fraters companions in cruciverbalism. The second letter of 29 down would help decide.Please tell me this puzzle has nothing to do with an antipodean tv soap.
