When was the �1 note replaced by a coin? I know coins were introduced in 1983 and the �1 note was withdrawn in 1988 - but which year would you say it was 'replaced' J.

Here in Scotland, our pound notes are still legal tender.

Hi gen2 - I should have stipulated Country and as my daughter has moved into Scotland I have used your �1 notes frequently J.
Yes, I believe the Scottish banks have stopped issuing any more new ones but the ones in circulation have not been withdrawn.
