We are on the brink of the second week in the reign of The Dinky Duke and he is promising to be a little more generous with the points this time around. He has been preparing well in advance, since next week I shall be on the Canary Islands and far away from computers. I soon will be passing over the reins to the more-than-capable hands of gen2, who always does an excellent job! I will be processing your predictions from the moment when the MM Link Game is launched by The Dinky Duke, who will set his four words to be linked tomorrow morning at 9.00am.
This last week has also marked the welcome return of seekeerz from Oz, who is the regular organiser of the international version of this same game (called KM Links). That usually kicks off at the unearthly hour of about 06.30am! Let's hope for an easier set of Links this week as last week's were a bit obscure. I nearly went with LOUNGE LIZARD, but changed my mind at the last moment!
I am going to keep it brief tonight, because it's the first Friday of the month and that means Quiz Night at the local Cricket Club and it's my turn as Quiz Master.
Me? I'm crofter, Keeper of the Rule Book and Ancient Abacus.
No Kay, I hadn't seen the info before - I got it from your big hint you planted at the top of the previous page.
I've not been able to get on until now because we had neighbours round for drinks. Nothing as posh as Kay's Marlborough just Asda's 3 4 10 . Really gutted when after pouring a full glass, a previously unseen bluebottle decided life wasn't worth living and opted for alcoholic poisoning as a way out. What a waste! Had to pour it down the sink - nearly cried. (I'm sure Pauline is made of sterner stuff and would just have hoiked it oot and carried on as if nothing had happened. Couldn't face the wine after that so switched to whisky. At least it keeps the flies/midges away!
Hi Dusty, yes it started off in Sunday night at the London Palladium, but then it became a show on its own with Tom O'Connor and I was on the 2nd show and I was the 1st person to win a car, and a TV and 675.00 which in those days was quite a bit of money.
Strix, of course you googled it, if you look again at the charter boats you will see where my daughter and son in law have just spent a week in Portugal.
Stu wouldn't like being mistaken for George!!!!!!
Gen2 you should have eaten the fly, we all need plenty of red meat!!!!!
Seriously I hate flies and for some reason just when I am going to sleep I hear one buzzing round the room and can't sleep until i have splatted it!!!!
well, well! Congratulations Kay - a bit late I know but must have been very exciting. Getting the info has been a bit like squeezing blood out of a stone (or red wine out of a bluebottle!) and I think I am about to have an attack of the vapours!!
By the way Strix - what was it you did to warrant a contract being taken out on you?
Gen2 I only have wine when Pauline is here, I didn't drink until I met her. Also if she was here there wouldn't be anything left for the fly!!!!!
Only joking Pauline, roll on July!!!!!!!
