What about if rage was anger and D is 500 in Roman numerals. 500 is many so you could have D+anger?

I'm only guessing though.

Hi Junkman. Well I had a bit of a head start as there were a number of answers on yesterdays Answer Bank, which helped to get me started. One of those being 11a Policy-holder has nothing to show initially. I think it was slaney that answered it as manifesto. I dont think I would have got that one and I still dont really understand it. I loved the clues to to 4d. Open door for oil producer and 30a Maybe its horns caused worker to bolt. I got my knickers in a twist with 25d, the Danger one. So, yes, I think I will buy it again tomorrow, and thank you for asking xxx

Manifesto comes from manifest which can mean to show and o for nothing - although I can't quite see the connection with policy holder - but presumably nothing else fitted!!
Afraid I didn't do the crossword , so don't know about the other clues :-)
