I've been sending in the Mail on Sunday prize crossword for the last 8 years every week without fail (except when on holiday). Not a sniff!! Has anyone out there won or knows of anyone who actually has?
Oh Nuts!
Have been entering the Sunday Mail 1,500 for about a year without success. Since I am in my late 50's, and having read the above answers, my chances of dying are much better than my chances of winning! My mother has entered all sorts of competitions for some 40 years, and during that time won a weekend in Paris--and a toaster. Nothing else. The cost of envelopes and stamps during that time must have just been covered by that one win.
Jayne the payne.I have been sending in the You crossword for the past 15 yearsand still have not had a sniff, in fact I put on the inside flap of the envelope once "has anyone ever won this"
I too, have been doing this crossword forever, but never a prize. Not a sausage. I was just thinking that nobody from Scotland ever wins. But somebody from Portugal won a few months ago, so I'll just keep trying.
You never know.
If you took the average of 25p a week postage that works out at 13 p.a. over 40 years that is 520 compared to 1500 for M.O.S. and an average of 25p is probably on the high side!!!
Hi Jayne
To answer your question, we have been doing the mail on sunday prize crossword and magazine for the past 20 years and havent won a sausage, we keep on hoping that one day a win will pay for all the stamps we have used.
