am stuck on 3 clues:
1d - French are after long term record [9] ...o.i.n.
7a - second solid fragment [5] ...r.
21d - fat as Rupert even [4] s.e.

Also, can anyone help / advise me? When I search for RT31, say, I get answers from years back - 2005 + - but in no specific order - very random - so I have to go through the whole lot. Is there any means of setting it so I can see the most recent first?! Or am I asking for the impossible?! Many thanks.

Yes it is not very efficient try pressing F11 on your keyboard and type in 31 (in your case) or whatever. Unfortunately it only works page at a time. Also if you type in RT31 and somebody has put Radio Times 31 it won't find it.
