Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Hi, answers please to 4)down just two notes in descending order (4) ?E?E and 12)down vagabond to race over an opening in the wall. (8) R?N?G?T? Is there such a word as renegate? (the T is from 21)across notable piece of cutlery. I have put TUNING FORK! Could it possibly be DINING instead of TUNING then RENEGADE would fit. But- opening in wall- gate? notable-tuning? I am confused.

4d = MERE (= just)

2 notes = Me + Re

Hi, I thought of that, but it is doh,ray,me-etc. However I presume some may say -doh ,re,me-- and mere fits in with just, so I think you are right, but not a good clue. Thanks again. John.

According to Chambers, RE is the preferred spelling, RAY is given as an alternative.

The problem with that is that if re is the preferred spelling in Chambers, then me is not:
