I don't see how 'dernier cri' fits the clue tho?
I got dernier cri = last word but Norrie?
You need to brush up on your french :-) Dernier Cri means latest in French and is a commonly used fashion term
(Speaking from South of the Loire)
Norrie = iron (club) + E (English) +R drop of rum
Oh an literally translated Derner Cri means Last Shout/Cry
relied on Chambers dictionary "dernier cri, last word (literally cry). the latest fashion." Can't say fashion is my strong subject. Thanks for the convoluted explanation of Norrie
