I bought a 2 suite from John Lewis about 3 years agocosting 2,300. I had to get them back as the company had put sub standard cushions it . The sub frame of one of the two seater settees now needs repairing at a cost of about 200. Am I within my rights to refuse this? I told J//Lewis I would put 1,000 extra to buy another suite but they have refused. Where do I stand?

Thanks for any reply

Is this a quiz question ?
A 3y old suite being exchanged by JLewis? That's a rarity in itself!

My new settee was similarly damaged by an overweight friend. On visiting her she said she sat on her lounge floor for comfort......now I know different.

nb All overweight ppl should remain on armchairs......if only to save a friendship.
try home and garden - this topic gets enough rubbish without 'furriners' butting in!
I would have thought that after 3 years the suite would have had a lot of useage. I bought a new corner unit chair and foot stool last year and as I paid quite a bit for it I paid extra insurance for 5 years.Did you paty extra insurance?
You would get more response if you post in law or how it works.
