pop quiz , please help

I have completed a 100 pop question quiz but two answers do not fit [ neither are anagrams ]
1. 1980,s pop artist / group . " Was he in Scrooge " 2 words .3 and 5 letters.I have Bob Marley , 6/6.
2. 1960,s pop goup / artist ." Found in bee hives" one word . 11 letters. I Honeycombs 10 letters.

Apart from the fact that it is 10 letters rather than 11.


Bob Marley certainly sounds good though.

SORRY MISTAKE in Question
No. 1 should be 3 and 6 [ Hence Bob in Bob Maley ].
Also Honeycombs doesnt end in es
please keep trying

OK, it's just that I answered an earlier question almost straightaway and there has been no response from you.........

anyway..........what are the clues/answers which you have that conflict with the answers given here.................we may be able to sort this out for you. :o)

Honeycombs is the correct spelling.

Maybe the compiler has made a mistake, although the group's name was THE Honeycombs, as opposed to just Honeycombs? Maybe we're on the wrong track.

Colesey, the group does end in es, I checked it out via google. Sorry I can't give you a link, this new computer won't let me copy and pasteI

I checked with the guinness book of hit singles and it's definately HONEYCOMBS. Don't believe everything you see on the internet.

Bob Marley should be right, maybe the compiler thought the other answer ended in es.

There's a picture of one of their records, being sold on Amazon, on the link I gave. Definitely no 'es'.

I wonder if this could be something to do with the Beehive hairstyle of the 60s? Or is that too remote?

With regard to your question about queries . please see the original question only difference being 3/6 letters on no. 1. I can only come up with the answers I have stated but they do not fit the stated number of letters,

I don't want to appear pedantic, but wasn't it JACOB Marley in Scrooge (or A Christmas Carol). It was BOB Cratchett,surely.

Both spellings take you to the group via Google, possibly a compiler's error ???
My Guiness Book also has them without the 'e'
