the only answer was -

96. Weightlifter is one that lifts a car plus wad backwards. It's a bird.

Don't know if it's clues you ar after, but here they are

18. The name of a bird, aka bunting, is in the wording of the clue.

30 First half is what a judge wears on his head, second is a long period of time

73 !st word is a bird which Vaughan Williams saw ascending, 2nd word could be an alternatine name for aboxing match (not a typo)
