its the donner party. all you have to do basically is find out what mountain they are on and you will figure out the drink.

it is coors.  The label has changed over the years, and the slogan is 'tap the rockies'  It is also made from rocky mountain spring water.

I was wrong again, coors was the first thing I thought of, and the only beer that I knew that I could associate with the mountains, besides Busch.  But, I did find the correct answer, the party was the Donner Party.  Check it out, you'll find the answer.
