KM Links Game - November week 2

If my alarm works as intended, I should be posting this before 6:30 am in order to avoid a repeat of last week's double launch. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the gremlins will be favourable at that time of the morning as several times this week my broadband router has been dropping the internet link and restricting itself to the local network. It sometimes takes several restarts to get it to play ball.

This thread has been posted for the launch of this week's KM Links game. As soon as someone is satisfied that they have solved Kate's four highlighted clues in her crossword, they will be posted here. It will then be up to everyone to guess what associated word Kate will have chosen to use in her Monday 'Herculis' crossword. The pairs of words should each form a well-known phrase or compound word.

It is over now to the early risers to do the necessary while I go and pitch camp outside the local newsagent waiting for the English newspapers to arrive.
