last one 25a Almost cut off one's balls before leaders of South Kensington show up. ?n?a?k. Must be unmask but why, please? I can see the SK but how do I get unma and what does unmask have to do with any of the clue?

To unman is to "cut off one's balls" - so almost unman, before SK - the "leaders" of South Kensington. I suppose then "unmask" means "show up", as in to expose.
Could it be almost unma(n) meaning to castrate and sk for South Kensington? For something to show up it perhaps needs to be unmasked.
