Yes, I know this has been out for ages, but it is my particular foible to wait til the relevant Saturday to open up my RT and do the crossword. :-) (The Christmas issue is taunting me as we speak.)

Anyway, yet again I have just one left.

10a. Artist grasps male bird (4) _ H _ A

I'm thinking RHEA which is a bird. It contains HE which could explain the "male" part of the clue, but where would an artist come into it? Or am I barking up the wrong tree altogether?
