19. Think it might be SECOND HAND (as in second hand rose)
25 B IP A R O US.....?
30.TWAYBLADE (anagram of "a lady web" plus T (last of night)
Finding it a very difficult quiz - still lots to do
Good luck
Sorry - a bit slow getting through, didn't realise they had already been answered. Still, a bit more confident now !!!
Thanks rogerr - your pointer was excellent,
Thank you rogerr, foxlee & xray. Still got too many left to put in one post! smouse., unless I am being incredibly thick, your clue to 16 as an anagram, there are too many letters in the words to fit the answer
but I did say
solve the anagram and then look at what you get
then that will be the clue to the answer

I dotn want to spoil this quiz for the ones like myself who have worked hard at it but am happy to give some extra clues

Sometimes you need to just send it in and get the answers and then each time you will get more and more and that moment when you do them nearly all yourself if worth waiting for
We have all worked hard at this quiz smouse--you seem happy to poach clues from others who are struggling, but I find your comment rather offensive! You wouldn't be looking in here if you had all the answers!
I wasnt being offensive

and for weeks the only one I have needed on this quiz is the squirrel one so am not guilty of poaching anyones answers

I give out loads of answers on this site if you care to look and was only saying I was only giving clues so wont do that now if I am offending you. I was after all trying to help
smouse....no offence taken
Didnt think you would but obviously rogerr has so will retreat from the thread and take the help I thought I was giving and was prepared to give with me

I would like to point out that smouse is the last person in the world to come on here to poach clues or answers she doesnt need to, she's usually way in front of the rest of us. So if anyone was being offensive I'd suggest it was rogerr. It was a totally unjustified and uncalled for comment.

Oh dear, Oh dear. I didnt want to stir up a hornets nest over this quiz. I hope you have all calmed down now !!! Many thanks to all of you who have entered into the spirit of friendship and help, I am really most grateful !!!! P
19 and 46 continue to pose problems but I can help with 25. The answer is biparous. Can you work out why?
30 is an orchid - anagram of 'a lady web' with the last letter of night. No-one seems to have a problem with 86 so can I have some help please.
darrensma - don't really understand all your post. You're giving answers that have already been given - see above.

Did you mean 19? Answered above.

Do you want an explanation for Biparous or are you asking if others want it?

86. If you want clues - you need to use your knowledge of science for the chemical symbols of Bismuth and copper and then concentrate on 'gnasher'.

I still have problems with 16 - I cant get an anagram of 'adoring engineer' which I have been given as a part clue. Can anyone help please ?
Can anyone give me clues for 34, 71 or 98 ? Would bemost grateful !!!!! P
16. Anagram is the name of two men who were notorious in the East End of London in the Sixties.

34. I've forgotten how I worked it out but Miss Palmer refers to Laura Palmer from an old TV programme.

Thank you so much FoxLee, you have been very helpful. I really appreciate it !!!!! P
Sorry - I only looked at the first list of posts - entirely missed the second list which included the answers I gave. And I meant no 85, not 86 plus I note that Pea Brain also needs 98 - could it be second stomach? If so, why?
