Snaffles: dual meaning 1. to purloin 2 a bit for horses
Breeze: dual meaning 1. very easy "it's a breeze" 2 light wind

Thank-you everybody. I think I was being confused by Cole Porter. Still, I think SLUR's a rather better answer to the clue, even if it wasn't the one they were looking for.


I'm glad the Xmas cryptic was so easy, otherwise I think I'd just stick to aeroplane magazine quizzes in the future.
