Many of you ABers have kindly purchased copies of the St. Guthlac's Mystery Theme Quiz. You will be pleased to know that we have now sold over 900 copies at 1.00 each. We'd like to reach the 1,000.00 mark before the closing date at the end of March so, if there is anyone out there who'd like a copy, the details are as follows:-

Please send a cheque for 1.00 (made payable to St. Guthlac's Ladies' Guild) & a stamped self-addressed envelope to:-

Jill,
3, Church Street,
Deeping St. James,
Peterborough,

Thank you all very much.

That is an amazing amount of money - well done and I truely hope you achieve the 1000.

Can I be really cheeky and ask how on earth you manage that as I compile quizzes for the Cinnamon Trust and generally raise about 120 - 130 each time then less prize money. And I thought that was quite good until I saw this!!

Any advise greatfully recieved (ps I am in Cornwall so not really in direct competition with you on local sales)

best wishes

I sell quiz sheets over a period of 12 months. During the summer, when I am travelling around the country watching cricket, I sell to my many friends at various cricket grounds all over England. When they see me coming, they start to dig in their pockets for a 1.00 coin so I no longer have to ask them if they will buy a quiz sheet!

This AB site accounts for several hundred purchases & the new Fundraising Quizzes site has been a great help. One other member of our Ladies' Guild is a bridge player with contacts in various bridge clubs around our area. She'll sell over 200 sheets for us each year.

I'm having a rest next year (March 2009 - March 2010) but hope that another Ladies' Guild member may take over the job. It does take up a great deal of my time, especially the marking of the returned quizzes, but it is very enjoyable & totally rewarding.

Good luck with your own fund-raising.
Hi,

Sorry for not coming back earlier, and many thanks for your reply.

I must take up cricket I think!

Well done on your great effort and enjoy your rest.

The final sum raised was 983.00. Our rector will be drawing a winner from the all-correct entries submitted on Sunday, 29th March. The winner's name & answer sheet will be sent out to all those who sent in stamped self addressed envelopes.

I will post the winner's name and answers on the Fundraising Quizzes website.
