Again, the Daily Mail has given the same No. to the prize crossword as yesterday, no. 13,378. By my reckoning, today's crossword, 3rd Feb, should be 13,381. Last Thursday's number was also 13,378.
They did this a couple of weeks ago when the submission address was changed to Norwich. When the same numbere was given for three days I telephoned the DM and after being transferred to six different people (and cut off once in the process) a guy sounding really fed-up said he couldn't believe that such a simple thing as an address change could create so many problems; and to use the No. as published. No doubt there is a method in their madness (I hope!)
Just noticed this myself. Now, do I put the correct No. in the address, or 'theirs'? Sadly, I have little else to worry about today, thanks to the snow!
I have been putting the day and date on the front of the envelope since all this confusion started. But todays has the correct number 13,382. crossyfan
