Good morning everyone - I trust we're all well today and not suffering too much from frostbite.

I think the site might be a trifle 'frozen' - it needed all sorts of skullduggery to access Q&A so I'll make this fairly brief.

Just the tiniest of scrambles this morning, just a mere hint - no stop watches needed, but all the bonus points were gone within the first three entries though there were lots of possibilities to chose from.

cliffyg lead the pack off with Step Ladder and Trace Element, then seekeerz came in with Hearth Stone and Spot Light plus one, and lysander made it in under two minutes to pick up bonus points for Hearth Stone and plus one, also.

The 'Good Guess' dept did pretty well with LaneyB, Elspeth & wickedtongue each collecting three points, while patchett, Chiefpanda, evsajo, Christiana, crofter,
paulineward, fordward, Grenmus, bridgenut, JRB, Prescott, Mrs E, eccles & Mrs O all scored two points and a further 24 entries picked up one point each.

A very good start to the new month, Congratulations all !!

The Leader Board will only need a brief outline at this stage of the month so here goes:-

and the afore mentioned 14 entries with two points.

thank you, eccles, that is very sweet of you and I'm most impressed how diplomatically you and Mrs E work it out.

We have been so lucky here not to have had too many fires so far, but what has happened in Victoria has been horrific, it's just stunning and so very sad.

actually, 5, 4, 3, 3, 2 - I acknowledged Lysander's 3 ahead of the group of three as her score comprised 2 bonus points plus 1 = 3, while the others were later matches.

oh bother you're confoozing me and I do such a good job all by myself !! between you and Strix I'm surprised I'm not completely addled !!
