16a - I think the clue should have read "chestnut stuffing" - singular - and even then it's not a good clue.

I've never heard a horse chestnut described as a horse: you might as well call a grass snake a grass, or, as happened in another puzzle, a gorse bird a gorse.

I guess I should have read my own blog!!

Gazza has pointed out on there that the chestnuts are chestnut horses not horse chestnuts!! The problem with the word being plural remains.
