Where the answers are "readily researchable" I have a great deal of sympathy with Quizmonkey.

I don't mind sharing my answers at all .No skin off my nose and if it cheeses him off then tough . .After all if you send it in it's only the luck of the draw as to whom wins it.
It's not a matter of national importance is it ?
This particular clue was a stinker !
But, my brain ticked over( for a change ) and I thought to myself it has to be either a French or Scots term with that letter pattern .So typed things like ne son and no sae along with the clue into Google and Bob was my uncle !
